Theres an article in Forbes on how to create an ebook with AI.
They actually go through the prompts and sections of an ebook, down to creating the graphics. Chat, if given the right prompts will "fill in the prompts".
But why do all of this?
Well theres a few reasons:
Now we have chatted about AI creating ebooks and the pitfalls that you can have. But we really need to emphasize them here:
So what did Forbes talk about?
Obviously we cant just copy and paste the whole article. But what we can do is give you the snippets and then you can see what we are talking about, check out the article and load up ChatGPT and just follow the prompts.
Number 1. The back cover.
Forbes starts with the back cover first. It should include:
A lot of people will turn to the back or read the very first few pages of a book. In those precious few minutes your book should pique someones interest to read more. Remember what the book can do for them.
So Forbes state this:
I am an expert in [describe your area of expertise] and I have ideas for an ebook about [describe your book ideas]. My target audience is [describe your target audience]. Based on this, can you help me craft a compelling back cover description for my ebook? This description should succinctly summarize the book's content, appeal to my target audience, and clearly articulate why they should read it. The goal is to create an engaging and persuasive summary that encapsulates the essence of the book and convinces potential readers of its value.
I have said for the prompts, as an example:
Here's the reply:

I think that is pretty awesome.
Number 2. Define the concept.
Now Chat keeps all the same topic questions one after the other. So using the back cover question first allows Chat to continue with making the concept of the book relevant by using the information gathered from the back cover. this includes title and sub titles.
Number 3. The structure.
This is where you tell Chat to further tailor the book to your ideas, adding more ideas and concepts and how they would be structured in the book. So their example is this:
"I've decided on the title '[insert chosen title]' and subtitle '[insert chosen subtitle]' for my ebook, which focuses on [briefly describe the main theme or purpose of the book]. I'd like to include specific elements such as [list any specific elements or focuses you want in the book]. Can you help create a structure for the book that includes an introduction, 5 main chapters, and a concluding chapter? For each section, provide a catchy name and a brief bullet point outline of its contents. The structure should flow logically, ensuring the book is comprehensive and leaves the reader with a clear understanding of the subject."
Number 4. Write the actual book
Now, to create an ebook with AI you dont tall it to create the ebook. You have to prompt it again. Allowing it to build up and to add more information (from yourself). This is why knowing the topic initially is a good idea. You can add where AI might not be able to.
Number 5. Wrap up.
Now I dont like the idea of conclusions. But an ebook should be able to be wrapped up by summarizing all the important features and how it can actually be used in day to day practice. It should also point to you and your product/ website.
Number 6. Start and graphics
Once you have completed the ebook, Chat can then create an intro using the information that you have provided. If you are using the paid Chat then it can also create the graphics- which is an awesome feature.
