And this is going to be a short post. But I was reading multiple authors suggesting Amazon businesses and found a flaw in their teachings.
And that is the main issue with eProduct creators. In fact most products.
When you read books on selling on Amazon they advise:
They give examples of products that they have used. Usually vitamins, powders, bars, dog food etc.
Let us go a bit further. What do all these have in common:
We have talked multiple times about authors missing steps in showing you how to be successful- because success is multi-factorial.
But what made their business successful was in part the product, but also the type of product.
All those examples above show you products that are updated.
Why are powders, vitamins, protein bars and dog food so successful- if you can get into that space?
It is because they are consumable.
All the examples above are companies that you from again and again.
Digital products are OK as long as you don't just sell one and that is it. Your product has to be:
So when you are finding a new digital product to sell just wonder. Can you upgrade it? Can you add more features down the road?
If not can you add more products to the main product. This then becomes an "add product" model. Your main product (if not upgradable/ consumable etc) has to then have help in complimentary products.
