A Forex affiliate is someone who is an affiliate for a foreign currency trader/ buyer etc. It is a very competitive market but the commissions can be stoopidly big.
One recently came up on my radar and it was through a blog called itweb.co.za- its a tech website.
They were explaining the business of affiliate websites. The usual stuff- find audience, find affiliate program they like, promote it, get a commission.
So on this article they were trying to promote AvaPartner which is a Forex affiliate website. In other words they just promote and use Forex only programs/ companies that offer affiliate programs in the Forex world.
Now again, we are not reducing what the article is about, but trying to see if we would click on the link and help them. If we don't, why and what can be done.
This is whats written:
"This affiliate network is linked to AvaTrade, a regulated CFD and forex broker. So, what happens here is that affiliates who join AvaPartner are given various links and tracking tools. Then, for each customer an affiliate sends to AvaTrade via their tracked links, they get a percentage of the revenue that referral generates. As per the specifics of this program, partners can get up to 50% revenue share".
Now, would that make you click on the link? Now if I was curious, maybe, but not because it has been promoted for me to click on the link, but to be curious and wondering what the cvompany was.
Would I use AvaPartner based on the text?
Maybe if the sales page on the affiliate site was better...but that is a big maybe. Because I would then start to look around, check out other websites. Now if your cookie is long lasting you might get the credit, but if it is a 24 hour cookie or something similar, you might not get the sale? See how cookies can be cool and bad?
Therefore you have to do some cool pre-promotion (pre-selling) to actually allow me to miss some steps and not hunt around for more examples on AvaPartner.
They have gone for the "place a link in the text" ability to sell affiliate products. Sure the overall theme of the website it tech,- which at least gets some audience to look at the article. But then we have- are they a Forex audience?
So what can they do?
When you check out the article you can see that it is like many articles. Here is the info, off you go. With more input into the text, some pictures and maybe video it can heighten what is already there. Get more SEO love and some nice ad revenue. With additional articles that link from the main one then specific affiliate links can be promoted. If you like AvaPartners then it can be done where people start clicking on the link and offering you some affiliate commissions.
We wish ITWeb all the best
