Can You Really Promote Clickbank Affiliate Products With An Ebook?

Clickbank Products

It might seem old in using an ebook to market Clickbank products. However, I am in complete favour in using anything that can make a sale. If that is deemed old- but still works, then who cares?

Most people get the idea wrong and actually promote the product that you are trying to sell. This is not what people want. They want to know there is a solution for their issue and they want you to show them it.

Because, you know, trust.

A long time past plan evolved then it was forgotten- it was used to market Clickbank products

For anything to work you should either have:

  1. an ads campaign where you pay for ads which then drives people to a landing page (usually, in some cases the actual affiliate sales page)
  2. a list of people who have responded to your emails/ posts and you can get in contact with them on a regular basis with updates/ info

There's not a huge amount of leeway with this. Sure you can content market and drive people to your website with SEO however that is very:

  • long term,
  • random and
  • difficult to reconnect with people who have come onto your website- you need them to subscribe to something

What seemed to happen though is that ebooks have been used to market a whole range of products however it was just selling the product. A range of benefits the potential customer could find.

People want solutions but we still keep on throwing benefits at them.

That is what a sales page is all about- selling the product.

Our job is to find the issue, show how to solution would work for them and them show them how to find the solution.

As an affiliate trying to market Clickbank products, you shouldn't be messing around with "selling" as such.

What you have now then is a better way to market Clickbank products...

What should happen is that your ebook should presell the package that you are trying to sell. This product should also be perceived as more expensive than the actual product.

Let me explain.

First you need to find a product that likes ebooks. So piano/ guitar learning are better when you show people through video. However it is not impossible to sell these items.

I found a KetoDiet website and it looks pretty cool when you read the sales page. So how would we go about preselling the Keto website?

  1. Buy the product. If it engages you that much on the sales page and you go back to it, and it's like, "you know what that page did its job, I'll check it out"...go for it.
  2. You have to figure out if your customers are actively searching for Keto and are finding random stuff online or are they super into Keto. The second audience is not for this product. Initial Keto users looking for Keto diets might not be either. But, the ones who are trying different things but might not be getting anywhere could be a good fit. Their pain is "I am trying, but not getting anywhere"
  3. If they have already looked online for recipes then offering more recipes could be a bad idea. However offering "100 Unseen Unbelievable Recipes From The 10 SuperStar Keto Users" might be step in the right direction. You can also then promote it to the people who you have already been in discussion with. They are looking for results, from people who have already done it.
  4. Offer to interview these 10 Keto Users and see what helps them. Find those pain points people are searching for online and apply them you your questions (how can I create a lunch quickly). Find out what your product has within it and try to ask questions that garner an answer that matches with the affiliate product. This is now a worthy video/ ebook package
  5. Maybe try the diet and see how much it helps you. Do a "SuperSize Me", ask you Dr get blood work and try it for a month and see what happens. Now wouldn't that be a better ebook? You can pack it with pictures, video, and charts.

As you can see each product that you create (yes, use your product) adds value. Then when you link to your affiliate product it should shock someone that you have created something awesome.

What some marketers have done to market Clickbank offers is to offer the free package as a sign up bonus to newsletter subscribers. Splitting it up into 2 so that people have to still subscribe to get the whole package and reduces freebee seekers. They also promote on the signup page the actual affiliate link. You could keep one or two interviews back and spread them through an email series promoting your affiliate link as you go.

All you need then is traffic to your email sign up.

But don't forget to...

You have to track all the links that go through your affiliate links.

This helps you determine:

  • which link is better and what position within the content was clicked upon
  • which link was used in which content that you created
  • is there any way to increase the click through of these links? What if you used the best link and then copied that throughout your content, would that increase people clicking through?

So, remember to presell heavily and make a cool product that completely overdelivers on content.

This will make the product that people are put in front of an easier sell.
